The AGF Fundraiser Fashion Show
We are filled with joy while writing this post. A few months ago Nicole Snobelen of Evelynn, had the idea to start a organization called The Abby Girl Fund. She volunteers her time to visit sick children in hospitals and design their dream dress with them. She then brings their drawing to life and surprises them with their own custom made dress. On Saturday May 2nd she held her first fundraiser event in support of the AGF to raise money for fabrics and supplies so she can do this for hundreds of children suffering. The event took place in her hometown at the Blenheim Golf Club from 6-9PM. As early as 530PM we had over 100 guests filling the room and we were not prepared for this! By 6pm we had over 250 attendees in the audience. My heart was filled with excitement.
Aside from our adult collection, Evelynn, the fashion show featured our Abby Girl children’s line as well as men’s fashions by Ford & McIntyre Men’s Wear. All of our female models had professional hair and makeup done by Beautiful Faces by Geena.
We had so much fun working with the children during rehearsal, teaching them how to work it down the runway. It was a first for them all! After rehearsals with them and then the adults, Wayne’s Pizza of Blenheim donated some yummy pizzas for the models and volunteers! Both shows went amazing, we had such a great evening! We were so excited to have Allyson Billingham as out MC for the evening! We also had a photo booth ran by Kelsey captures! Our silent auction table was packed with local donations from some amazing companies. We were so thankful for the donations and support from the local communities! Shannon McCabe, the owner of Shannon McCabe Photography was our official runway photographer!
